I am super excited for today’s post because it is just so Christmassy. I love Christmas and apart from the celebration of Jesus’ birth, I love the vibrant colors, decorations, food, and gatherings that come with Christmas. It’s a season filled with love and thanksgiving. It almost makes you forget about your worries from the year and what’s even more exciting, is the new year by the corner as well.
So I tried to think of what Christmas recipe or DIY I could share this Christmas and I thought to myself, what better way to create a Christmas post than to share the iconic Christmas tree as a fruit stand since I’ve been craving fruits lately. Now, this fruit tree stand has definitely been around as I am not the brain behind a Christmas tree fruit stand but I just thought to create and share my own version.
If you’re interested, you can check out the directions below or visit my Youtube channel for a video tutorial. You can absolutely play around with your own choice of fruits or fruits available.
Christmas Tree Fruit Stand
Be the perfect host by sharing these yummy fruits as a Christmas tree fruit stand
- 1 Pineapple
- 1 Pear
- Green grapes
- Base or plate
- Star gift bow
Wash hands and then wash fruits thoroughly.
Remove calyx from strawberries and remove grapes from stems. Cut the bottom of pear to form the attachment for the top of the Christmas tree.
Peel Pineapple until an almost triangular shape is formed with the top being wide enough to fit the pear.
Place peeled pineapple on base or plate. Insert 4 toothpicks to the bottom of the pear and place gently on the top of the pineapple until toothpicks are no longer visible.
Insert a toothpick at the bottom of each strawberry and fruit.
Begin arranging by placing bigger fruits and then smaller fruits from bottom to top respectively.
Once fruits are well covered all around, top it off with a gift star bow (wash gift star bow before placing).
This is optional but you can make your tree appear snowy by sprinkling on some icing sugar or white chocolate.
Voila! Get ready to be remembered for your Christmas tree fruit stand. You can decorate the surroundings of the stand with any choice or available decorations.
An optional base for the Christmas tree is a styrofoam cone which is absolutely perfect for the Christmas tree foundation. If you don't have any, you can play around with the base as I did.
